Avery Dennison, a pioneering firm in materials science and digital ID technology, has masterfully entered into a licensing alliance that taps into a cherished national tradition.

The Ohio-established enterprise has secured an agreement with NBA Properties, Inc. (NBAP), allowing it the privilege to produce both on-court and retail fashion adornments that showcase the distinguished marks, emblems, typefaces, and further intellectual assets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

This collaboration signifies Avery Dennison's ambition to enhance its esteemed Embelex range, dedicated to sophisticated garment branding favored by international sports entities. In its quest for excellence, the company has recently integrated Rietveld, an apparel accent specialist from the Netherlands, Thermopatch, a New York-based textile labeling and emblems expert, and Lion Brothers, a Maryland-affiliated provider of badges and distinctive branding elements.

Currently, Avery Dennison boasts of an elite clientele that encompasses sports titans such as the San Francisco 49ers, Major League Soccer, Real Madrid, the English Premier League, the Sacramento Kings, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The collaboration with the NBA will facilitate the crafting of licensed insignias, emblems, typefaces, and other symbols for league contingents and their commercial associates. Both parties will be privy to the full spectrum of Embelex's offerings. While the majority of these creations will witness global production, domestic artisans are on standby for urgent commissions.
